Thanks to the good advice provided me in this thread, the 6.5 prc build turned out great and I am thoroughly enjoying shooting it. That said, the 280 AI itch persisted and I am having one of my 30-06's rebarreled to 280AI.The 280 AI requires a standard bolt face and a long action stroke. Both the 280 AI and the 7mmRM would require long magazines to match the bolt stroke.
